In retrospect

A few years ago, I viewed the world in a poetic way, and every small detail took on a deep and unique meaning. From that period, I have an archive of photographs taken obsessively, some of which remain unclear and mysterious, yet each contains something that has not been deciphered. These are random images captured with an analog camera, to each of which I assigned grand and expansive significance. Upon revisiting these images, I try to return to the state of mind I was in at the time and understand the essence of the photographs. It is a process of internal investigation, a search for answers and a reconstruction of feelings that existed in my mind at the moment of capture. If I were able to paint, it might have been easier to express what was happening in my soul, as the surrealists did. But I choose to work through photography and find myself facing a challenge – the camera captures what exists in reality, yet each image must be more than just documentation; it has to become symbolic. My search, even though I know there are no clear answers, is what drives me to continue photographing. I invite the viewer to observe and enter my world of associations, to search alongside me for the meaning between the images, and to find their own answers and questions.
